I’ve been working behind the scenes on some crochet tutorials, like the one I shared last week – how to add a ball of yarn when you run out…
… and this one showing How to Crochet Evenly Around a Granny Square.
My Gia Afghan inspired me to work on tutorials for techniques associated with working granny squares. I have a couple more that are ready to go, and will be publishing soon.
I’ve also finally finished sewing up a Fall wreath I started on last year that never got finished. It even sparked another way I can use it before Fall, even though I’m shifting to Fall throughout my home already – hehe! I’ll be sharing it soon. Feels so great to get projects finished up, and cleared off my desk, especially because I have so many new ideas I want to get started on!
I drove out to Clermont (Florida) this week, and discovered the Just Love Coffee Cafe. It’s so cute, had friendly staff, was playing one of my favorite shows – The Joy of Painting, and not only had so many delicious coffee options, but also had a bunch of waffle options too! I went with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Waffle. Soft chocolate chip cookie stuffed into a waffle, and served with vanilla ice cream – it was so good! I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area again.
I’ve got a couple of these Gwyneth Shadow Boxes added to my Etsy shop.
In case you missed last week’s edition of The Rockwood Lane Weekly 29. Thank you to Maggie of Crochet Happens for helping out with the photo collage!
Check out her Etsy Shop for some great handmade items, like these handy Lip Balm Keychains.
Let’s Get to Those Great Finds!
Father’s Day may have just passed, but here in Florida, golfing is a year round sport. And if that lucky guy in your life does enjoy golfing, than he’s always in need of some new balls, and a great place to store them, like this DIY laser cut Golf Ball Box from Lindsay of Artsy-Fartsy Mama.
You can easily change up the wording to say Best Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, or even “You’re the Best”. Don’t have a laser cutting machine? Order a plain wood, and paint it. Stencil the wording, do it by hand or use a Cricut machine.
One of the things I look forward to each month is the monthly calendar from Kristi of i should be mopping the floor. They’re always beautiful designs, and such a nice reference to have. This is the Tropical Summer Wallpaper for June (comes with and without calendar), and it’s one of two prints.
Annie’s Farmhouse Style Kit Club is a great gift for yourself! Enjoy crafting from home without having to go to the craft (or thrift) store. Every 4 weeks, Annie’s will send you a kit that has all of the crafting supplies needed (minus basic tools and things like glue) and a booklet with a new project to try. You’ll have a great new decor piece to add to your home, or gift.
What a beautiful kimono Mireille of Chez Mireille is wearing in this neutral outfit perfect for Spring and Summer [and even early Fall].
