This week, I’ve been recovering from a cold. I’ve mostly just been cuddling with my sweet cats, crocheting and watching some of my favorite shows (Criminal Minds, Major Crimes, Bones, The Closer, NCIS). I’ve been wanting to work on video tutorials, but with the congestion voice plus sniffling, I’ve decided to wait it out.

Now that I’m starting to feel better, I have plans to make some brownies, and work on organizing my craft room closet a bit. I’ve been working on boxing everything up so I can pull out some shelves I have in there to gain a little more space, and I’m so ready to finish up this project, and get all of the totes put into the closet, and out of the rest of my home.

In case you missed last week’s edition of The Rockwood Lane Weekly 20. Thank you to Maggie of Crochet Happens for helping out with the photo collage! Check out her Etsy Shop for some great handmade items, like these adorable little Double Layer Twisted Knit Earwarmers.

Let’s Get to Those Great Finds!

On my sister blog, EyeLoveKnots, Abby of A Stitch Shy of Normal has shared a crochet pattern review for a super cute and trendy Juniper Festival Crossbody Bum Bag. I love the bright and cheerful colors she picked for her flowers.

Spring Gnome pattern set of 3 PDF crochet pattern plush image 1

These Spring Gnomes from EnjoytoysDesigns are so fun! I love the flower embellishments on the hats, and the cute little poms!

I love this French Lavender Vignette Printable from The Cottage Market. The little detail of the painted drawer (my favorite color!) and handle, the little bee, the spots on the metal pitcher – love it all! This free printable comes in two sizes too!

Two heart-shaped sheep crochet appliques.

These Heart Shaped Sheep from GoldenLucyCrafts are the sweetest! Work in different weigh yarns to change up the size of these appliques. I think they would be so cute on a baby blanket, or on an art piece either in the form of canvas or throw pillow with a grassy background, or what about on a banner for a baby shower?!

green floral top, white kick crop pants, mint bag, mint jeweled headband, rose gold loafers

I second that this beautiful blouse and headband on Laura of I do deClaire are definitely Mint to Be.

On my sister blog, Cre8tion Crochet, Maggie of Crochet Happens shared a crochet pattern review for the sweetest little Bitty Boho Bag. She also includes a photo tutorial showing how to add a fabric lining.

the first of new birdhouse card ideas with a robin's egg blue birdhouse and tiny paper flowers

Spring is just days away! This DIY Birdhouse Card from Kittie of Kittie Kraft would be a great way to celebrate.

6 Early Spring Outfits

Cyndi shares 6 Early Spring Outfits, and I really like this V-neck, long sleeve blouse. There are 31 print/color options in both short and long sleeve.

Collage of pictures of different Easter crafts for kids

Autumn of It’s Always Autumn has curated 25 Adorable Easter Crafts for Kids. I love the Peep Gingerbread Man House – cute, fun and tasty!

image of a fluffy carrot cake cinnamon roll that's been cut into to show how tender and soft it is

Have you ever had Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls before? I haven’t, but after seeing these from Chelsweets, I must! Along with this recipe are lots of details to help make them.

How to Wear Different Styles of Jeans in Spring

Jeans are my comfort zone – I wear them every.single.day! Audrey of Putting Me Together shares How to Style Different Cuts for Spring (That Aren’t Skinnies). While Skinnies are more my go-to these days, I recently bought some Bootcut from Old Navy, and I am so in love with the more fitted top section, and slight flare in the legs!

On my sister blog, EyeLoveKnots, Abby of A Stitch Shy of Normal has shared a crochet pattern review for a Cute Cupcake Mug Rug. I love the idea of having different types of cupcakes for different times of the year.

Cinnamon rolls from scratch are on my list. I am so intimidated by the idea of trying any recipe that has to rise, but “carrot cake” really makes it so much more tempting!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind On Rockwood Lane and EyeLoveKnots! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.

I've been shopping for a noodle bowl with chopstick holder for my niece. I really like this design.

Black OUGES Top (aff link)

Black OUGES Top (aff link)

When I received this black Ouges brand top in my September Amazon Wardrobe box, I was pretty happy. I have a similar top that I received in an earlier box that is the same brand, and I love the fit of it. I think the raglan style gives me a sort of confidence. I am a 42″ bust wearing the size Medium. There are several other colors available too!

Crocheted Lip Balm Keychain (aff link)

Crocheted Lip Balm Keychain (aff link)

It's lip balm season, and these lip balm holders are excellent! They come on a swivel hook that can be attached anywhere for easy access, and to make sure you don't lost your lip balm at the bottom of your bag. I personally have one of these. The quality is great, and Candace is lovely to work with! PLUS they come in 11 colors!
