How to wear a cozy gray sweater with light colored denim jeans, a pink cabled crochet scarf and gold wedges. Perfect outfit for Winter, Valentine’s Day and Spring!

I worked up this scarf in January of 2020. It is the Ashton Gansey Stole from Annie’s Catalog, and I hacked it to be a scarf as that’s more my style.
I just can’t get enough of the crocheted cables. So in love with this scarf <3
And if it’s cold here in Florida for Valentine’s Day, this will be my outfit, but with either some burgundy boots or brown booties – you’ll see why a little further down.
Back then, I had recently purchased a nice standing floor mirror from Ikea, and had upgraded my photos from bathroom mirror selfies to outside standing mirror selfies as seen above. As you can see from the photos of this post, I’ve improved even more with the help of a tripod and clicker.
I crocheted my scarf using a lovely wool and acrylic blend in a colorway called Rose Heather. I found similar rose colored yarn scarves from VALyouCrafts and KnottyMaryCrochet.
I purchased this gray Jon & Anna sweater from DDs Discount a couple years ago. I think it was around $11 or $13, and I got it in taupe as well. I am a 42″ bust wearing the size Large. It fits oversized. I will admit, I don’t care for oversized tops so I don’t wear it as often as other pieces, but it is so soft and cozy! I really like the buttons down the side too.
I found these really nice, cozy gray sweaters on Amazon that would be great alternatives: Niashot Sweater, Merokeety Sweater and Blooming Jelly Sweater.
I paired my sweater and scarf with my light colored, super skinny mid-rise Rockstar jeans from Old Navy (I love the fit of these!). I am 5’6″ and 183 pounds wearing the size 10.
And my gorgeous shoes are Belladia brand that I also found at DDs Discount a couple years ago. They are a sparkly gold, champagne-y mesh low wedge Mary Jane like shoe just with an ankle strap rather than over the top of the foot strap. I am so in love, but also so sad because they hurt my feet!
I normally wear a size 9, and in many of the shoes I find at DDs, I size up to a 10 – these are a 10. I bought these a couple years ago, but I think I never wore them out… It’s hard to remember right now, but I believe I tried them on standing in the store, and they fit fine, and then I brought them home to wear out on Valentine’s Day, and either we didn’t go or I didn’t wear them because I would like to believe I would have noticed my toes being too cramped when walking around… Hmm… If I can find them in a size 11, I will buy them in a heart beat though!
