One of my favorite fashion bloggers to follow is Laura of I do deClaire. Her outfits are so real, and easy to put together similar ones – this Versatile Summer Items one is right up my alley! She also shares a lot of great articles, like this eye care one.
She has been sharing more pieces from Amazon lately, and as I visit to check them out, I see the ad on Amazon about Amazon Wardrobe. It was this Mark the Spot post that left me visiting Amazon long enough to actually click on it, and sign up.
I was hesitant at first because I’ve tried two other clothing subscriptions (Stitch Fix and Nadine West) that I didn’t have such pleasant experiences with, but I decided to go ahead and give it a chance. With my weight gain, it’s been really hard and frustrating to find clothes that fit well, and are good quality.
So… What is Prime Wardrobe?
Prime Wardrobe is a clothing subscription included in Amazon Prime membership. You can pick clothing items to try on before you buy them including men’s items, women’s items, kid’s items, accessories and shoes! After you get all your items, you have seven days to try them on and decide to keep them or not. You pay for the items you want to keep, and return the others (free return slip included in each package).
I went a step forward, and signed up for Personal Shopper through Prime Wardrobe to have a stylist pick items for me – it’s only $4.99 per month. It’s awesome! I fill out a little box saying things I’m looking for, and a stylist uses my linked Pinterest board, profile and this box to pick out items for me. I get a notification when the picks are ready, and I go online, and select the ones I’d like to receive to try. It’s super flexible too because you can click the individual items, and change the size or color/pattern if others are available.
Want to Know What I think of Prime Wardrobe?
I love it! It’s an excellent service. I love the items I have received, and while they haven’t all worked for me, it is so nice to actually feel like I am listened to. The picks are so personal, and the note from the stylist is really nice. I also really like that I can preview the items beforehand, and tailor it better to what I want, as opposed to receiving a surprise package with pieces inside.
I am going on my third month of Prime Wardrobe, but going to share from my first one (because I’m running behind – what else is new?)
My First Amazon Wardrobe Box
I asked for shorts since I am in desperate need! And since 4th of July was coming up when I received this box (in May), I also asked for patriotic items. My stylist was spot on!
I received three pairs of shorts. They were all ladies size 10. Only the one on top of the rest fit as it had a stretchy waistband. For the others, I would have needed to size up to a 14. I wasn’t really sure what size pants I was. I wear Old Navy Rockstars in size 10, so that’s why I picked this size for my profile.
The one at the top is Levi’s Mid Length Shorts, the middle one is Riders by Lee Indigo (which you might also find at Ross – I’ve gotten a couple pairs of Riders by Lee there) and the one on the bottom is Democracy Women’s 5″ Cuffed Short with Ab Solution Technology, which unfortunately is out of stock as of 07.14.21. I wasn’t familiar with Democracy, but they fit amazing! They hugged perfectly, and were the perfect length. The only reason I returned them was because I couldn’t justify spending $45 on a pair of shorts, but man were they nice!
I also received these Blowfish Malibu Women’s Play Core Sneakers in size 9. They are definitely my style, but sadly, the elastic around the tongue of the sneakers was too tight for my foot. If you have a narrow foot, they’ll be great. As far as length, they’re true to size.
My mom owns a couple pairs of Blowfish Malibu brand shoes that she picked up at Marshalls. She loves them. She says they’re the most comfortable shoes, and she wears them to work where she is on her feet all day.
This top is the Alternative Women’s Printed Ideal T-Shirt in the Eco Grey Stars pattern. I am a 42″ bust wearing the size Medium. It’s such a soft, lightweight top more fitted around the bust and less around the hips. A bit see through – you can see the dark outline of my sports bra, but it was my favorite out of all the picks! The only reason I didn’t keep it was because it was $36, which was a bit too much for me.
The shorts are the Democracy brand I mentioned, and my shoes are Time and Tru Scrunchback Sneakers from Walmart. These shoes are my go-to when I’m not wearing flip flops. They’re so comfortable, and cute. My only complaint is I’ve had to double and even triple knot the ends because over time the knots squeeze through the grommet. That’s no biggie though! For $10 – these are great shoes!
This top is the Amazon Essentials Women’s Classic-Fit Short-Sleeve Crewneck T-Shirt, which comes in a 2-pack – this one is part of the Navy Star/Red pack. I am a 42″ bust wearing the size Medium. The top is soft and comfortable, and pretty close to the fitted knit tees I normally wear on a daily basis. I’m really in love with the blue star pattern! For $18, this pack of 2 was completely worth it, and I bought it. I’d love to get a couple more sets too.
I’m wearing the same Democracy brand shorts, and Time and Tru sneakers as previously mentioned.
I made my red earrings. They’re classic granny squares made in #10 crochet cotton thread. If you are a maker, I have a free crochet pattern on my EyeLoveKnots blog.
This top is the BTFBM Women V-Neck Knit Shirt with Slouchy Long Sleeves and Faux Buttons. They are a couple different styles on this listing. The description says waffle knit, but this blue one is not. This is the Tie Dye Blue White pattern. I’m a 42″ bust wearing the size Small.
The fit is so cozy and comfortable, but I had to keep pulling the top down for the photos because it was bunching around my underarms, which is a sign that the top is a little too small, even though it didn’t feel too small. It’s supposed to fit a little oversized, which I knew and that’s why I sized down because I don’t like oversized tops.
I loved the tie dye print and color, the slouchy sleeves that were fitted at the wrist, and the faux buttons, but when I looked at myself in the mirror, I did not feel that this top was very flattering, and that’s the only reason it went back.
As of right now, 07.14.21, this top is on sale 50% off for just $10!! So many other beautiful pattern options too.
I’m wearing the same Democracy brand shorts, and some slingback brown sandals I got from Old Navy last year.

It’s a shame the sizes for everything weren’t perfect but these are such cute pieces you got to try! It’s nice you enjoyed this experience.
Hope you are having a nice weekend π I had a fun girly day out shopping yesterday, it was so much fun!

I definitely enjoyed the experience more than not. My favorite clothing subscription box so far. I had to take a break, but can’t wait to get back to it.

I got my first pair of shorts from Democracy this summer at TJMaxx and I love them! Very similar to my Wit and Wisdom Ab solution jeans. And $19.99!

So good to know! I was wondering in what store they were carried, and that price tag is much better. I will have to make it a point to visit TJMaxx a little more often. Thanks!

Those are some very cute picks! I love that blue tie dye shirt. I love those scrunchback sneakers, too. I always get some slip-on sneakers at Walmart, but yours are much cuter.
Alexandra says
I do really like the slip-on sneakers at Walmart! They have some cute ones too. The elastic in one of mine just broke, and I’m looking forward to going back for some shoe shopping.

You got some cute pieces! I love your tie-dye top! That crew tee pack is such a good deal!

I haven’t even heard of Amazon Prime Wardrobe!! What a fabulous idea! You look great in all the outfits, but it was such a shame that some of the items didn’t fit properly, especially those sneakers because they’re GORGEOUS! I love the colour!
Hugs

I learned about it from another blogger, and I am so happy I stumbled across it because I love the try on before you buy options, and the personal shopper add on makes it even better. Thanks so much for hosting that fun party! I always enjoy visiting with you, and getting inspired there.
