During our trip to Brevard, NC in May of 2022, OP Taylor’s Toy Store was a place we stopped multiple times. The first time, we walked through the whole store, which has two floors and several rooms, and the next few times, we stopped in to buy board games to play in the evening while at our Airbnb.
This store has over 6,000 square feet of toys and games – there is something for everyone here! Looking at the photos, you can probably tell what interested me the most, but there was so much more to it. Highly recommend a stop here if you find yourself in downtown Brevard, NC. There is also a smaller location in downtown Greenville, SC.
There are three entrances to this shop. This one right here leads you into the room with puzzles. That bike is a permanent fixture, and actually says OP Taylors there right under the handle bar. It’s so pretty!
Here’s a look down to the right of the puzzle entrance. See the toy soldiers there in the distance? That is the Lego room entrance.
This amazing ferris wheel sits in the window of the Lego entrance. It is built with K’nex pieces, and actually moves! I stood at the window, and watched it for a few minutes in amazement. So big, and so sturdy. I loved building things with K’nex pieces as a pre-teen, but never dreamed of something like this! You will also see another big piece in a bit that together with this really makes me want to go out, and buy more pieces.
Here’s a look down to the left of the puzzle entrance. The toy soldiers there are right outside the board game entrance.
LEGO ROOM
So many awesome Lego kits! Especially if you are a Star Wars or Harry Potter fan.
I, myself, am a Friends fan so I really liked this Coffee Perk one! Above it you can also see they have a Seinfeld one in Jerry’s apartment.
PUZZLE ROOM
I found these puzzles quite humorous. The toilet paper one would be great to glue together, and hang in the bathroom.
These cereal boxes are each a 100 piece puzzle.
They also had these Heinz sauce packet puzzles, Kool-Aid and Pringles too!
I found this Mystery Jigsaw really interesting – there were several ones of this type, and each one gives you clues within the puzzle to solve the mystery.
BOARD GAME ROOM
Walls and walls of awesome board games! We ended up purchasing Uno Attack, and Sorry to play at our airbnb. They had a few games there for us to play as well, otherwise, we may have purchased a few others.
Awesome thing when we bought the Uno Attack – the lady that helped us looked up what batteries they took, and game them to us!! They have a shelf of batteries by the register. It was so nice that we could play it right away without having to go to a store to buy some batteries.
I’ve always done Hangman with pen and paper, but I like this version!
I don’t know anything about this game, but I love the movie so had to take a photo!
World’s Smallest Jenga! They had other “worlds smallest” games too, but this one intrigued me the most. It suggests using a toothpick when playing – I can’t imagine!
Also in the game room was this grandfather clock made of K’nex pieces!! It was not working while we were there, but I think it’s definitely meant to be. So impressive, and really sturdy too!
UPSTAIRS
I didn’t get a lot of photos from upstairs, but it had a lot of goodies too!
There was a room with stuffed animals and dolls. This Helen Keller Doll grabbed my attention – it has braille on the box!!
They had Noah’s Ark, and separate little bags of other animals you could buy to change them up, like Dinosaurs. So cute!
Behind it to the left was a whole wall of play foods. I love all that stuff!
They also had quite a collection of different shaped Rubiks cubes… are they still called “cubes”?
After looking at the photos I did take, I realize I only captured a small amount of this awesome store. I highly recommend a visit if you can – there are so many fun things to see for all ages!

This looks like such a fun place to visit, Alexandra! I can’t believe they have so many different kinds of toys. Our littles would go bananas in there. I’m definitely going to put it on our bucket list.
