In this week’s edition of Thrift Store Thursday, I’m sharing this double sided Anchor Hocking bird mug.

This is a special mug that was my mom’s. In my childhood memories, I remember it sitting right up on the shelf in the kitchen, but as she is going through her items, she has given this to me to sell.

This milk glass mug is vintage from either the 1960’s or 1970’s. It’s Anchor Hocking Fire King, and the bottom says that it is ovenproof.

This holds 9.5 ounces, is just under 3.5″ tall and has a diameter of 3″.

There is a variety in this songbird line that include other birds, but this particular one has a Chickadee on one side…

… and a Cardinal on the other.

In search, I found that these range from $10 – $23. I priced mine at $12.
