Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze Gravy Boat

August 19, 2021

In this week’s edition of Thrift Store Thursday, I’m sharing this nautical Pfaltzgraff Gravy Boat.

In this week’s edition of Thrift Store Thursday, I’m sharing this nautical Pfaltzgraff Gravy Boat.

Funny story… I bought a whole set of this Ocean Breeze dinnerware set, and when I was pulling the pieces out of the bag to take pictures before I took them over to my shop, I found two pitchers and a sugar bowl. I couldn’t figure out why there were two pitchers, but I just assumed they were both coffee related, right? Wrong! Hahahahaha! Turns out this bigger pitcher is a gravy boat. Well, I didn’t know that when I took this picture of the three pieces.

The Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze line began in 1995. According to Replacements.com, it is still an active line so really hard to tell if this is a vintage set or more current though I have read on some other pages that it’s a retired print.

The Ocean Breeze line features a beige base with a sagey green, medium teal and dark blue band. In the case of this gravy boat, the green and teal are at the bottom of the pitcher with no blue band.

The gravy boat is 4.25″ tall by 6.5″ in circumference, and holds 16 ounces.

Side Note: There is an underplate (aka a saucer) that goes with this gravy boat, but I do not have it – I will link to some below.

If you are local to Central Florida, you can also find this piece and more in person at America’s Antique Mall in Melbourne. Ask for seller “elk”.

Also, in my search, two other gravy boats popped up quite a bit, and I want to clarify that it is not part of the Ocean Breeze series, though it could match. The Pfaltzgraff Northwinds series looks a lot like Ocean Breeze, and it has two gravy boats.

This is one of them – Pfaltzgraff Northwinds Gravy Boat 1203173 from replacementsltd – $24

And the other is this Large Gravy Boat Pitcher from amwesellforyou on Bonanza – $29

How to Price a Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze Gravy Boat

My tag says “Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze Gravy Boat”.

In search, I found that these range from $10 – $20, both with and without the underplate. I priced mine without the underplate at $10.

Where to Purchase a Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze Gravy Boat

I found a few for sale online…

Pfaltzgraff Ocean Breeze Gravy Boat & Underplate from kblock – $21

Yes! I’ve been watching videos of how to make holes in ceramic dishes, and how to arrange succulents. I would love to take thrift store finds, and turned them into succulent gardens. The drilling is a bit intimidating though

that was a nice find and a cute gravy boat! It’s good you were able to look it up on line to see what it was called – I would have been confused over why there were two similar ones too! 🙂 glad you figured out it was a gravy boat and not for coffee in the end.

Hope you are having a good week. First week of spring here in Brisbane 🙂

Too funny! I would have gladly used it for my coffee too though – would be better for holding more milk. HAHA!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind On Rockwood Lane and EyeLoveKnots! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.

Black OUGES Top (aff link)

When I received this black Ouges brand top in my September Amazon Wardrobe box, I was pretty happy. I have a similar top that I received in an earlier box that is the same brand, and I love the fit of it. I think the raglan style gives me a sort of confidence. I am a 42″ bust wearing the size Medium. There are several other colors available too!

It's lip balm season, and these lip balm holders are excellent! They come on a swivel hook that can be attached anywhere for easy access, and to make sure you don't lost your lip balm at the bottom of your bag. I personally have one of these. The quality is great, and Candace is lovely to work with! PLUS they come in 11 colors!
