In this week’s edition of Thrift Store Thursday, I’m sharing this beautiful Wooden Primitive Candle Holder Sconce with Heart Cut Out.
This is a beautiful, handmade wooden candle holder sconce with a heart cut out. It’s vintage, but hard to tell when it was made because there is no maker’s mark or date.
This particular one has a sawtooth hanger on it. I’ve seen some that don’t have the hanger, and I’ve seen some that have a post underneath the candle holder so you can hang something from it, though this one does not have that.
If you are local to Central Florida, you can also find this piece and more in person at America’s Antique Mall in Melbourne. Ask for seller “elk”.

Oh goodness, these sconces bring back memories of the 1980’s craft shows that were so popular! Craftsmen and women would create all year long for craft shows that were really popular during the fall and Christmas season! Thanks for sharing!

This reminds me of candle holders that were very popular in the 1980’s. That one looks to be in very good condition. Good luck selling it. #HomeMattersParty

Thank you! I’ve read they were a very popular item among woodworkers during that time. My cousin learned to make them in school in the 90’s. I think they’re beautiful, and should continue to be made.
