Come together with friends to find inspiration and motivation to declutter your craft room using up the craft supplies in your stash with the monthly Declutter & Create Challenge, featuring a new theme each month to help you pick an area to focus on. We’re on this journey together to declutter and organize the craft room!

I don’t know about you, but I have been carrying around some of my craft supplies (and baking supplies!) for more than 10 years, and shuffling them from one home to the next with each move. I have gotten close to getting rid of some of them, but then I make the mistake of looking at them… it makes it so hard to get rid of them when I still have ideas and the desire, even though I have been lacking the motivation.
When I moved last year and I had to endure the exhausting shuffle of all of my supplies again, I told myself that I needed to make a point to use up some of my craft room supplies because I had way too much stuff and I definitely wanted to declutter my space and my mind, and not move the majority again.
Fast forward about 8 months and guess what? I did not use any of my craft supplies and I moved once more (hopefully the last time for a while). I have a brand new craft room to organize all of my supplies with great lighting for making plus for photos and videos, and I’m thinking it’s not enough to just tell myself that I need to use up my supplies, but I need a little bit of motivation and inspiration too.
I’ve put together the Declutter & Create Challenge, a monthly craft destash challenge where I will choose a different theme to help pare down the stash of craft supplies. Some theme examples may include: “the color Blue”, “buttons”, “triangles”, “felt”, “Summer” and so on. I know themes always help give me a place to focus my attention and I hope they will inspire you too! Feel free to suggestion your own themes as well.

Since this is the beginning of the challenge, I’ll share that June’s theme is going to be Jewelry. At the bottom of the June post, I will share the theme for July, and continue to share in this manner giving you a month to create your project/s (starting in June, we’re a little short on that time frame this month).
You can use supplies you already have on hand or buy new ones. Since I’m trying to destash certain areas of craft supplies, I am going to try to focus on non-crochet crafts, but I am not going to limit myself and you shouldn’t either. Supplies do not need to be limited to craft items, perhaps you bake, you like to paint your nails, work in the garden or anything relatable – I would love to have you join me in this Declutter & Create Challenge!
The challenge will go live each month on the second Saturday at 9:00am EST. I will have a new post up sharing what I was inspired to create and also share a tutorial. I will leave a space within the post to create a gallery for community photos. If you would like to participate, I will be using InLinkz at the bottom of my post where you can upload your photo, write a title and include the URL of your post from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blog post, etc. Folks can click on the photo/link to be taken to your post to view more. If you don’t have any of these options, you can also also email me. I may transition from InLinkz to the gallery feature that WordPress offers, but I will make sure to carry over all of the details if I do.

June 2025 – Jewelry
My post is not ready yet, but I will update soon. I wanted to put up the InLinkz for you to add your own Jewelry DIY projects, and the neat thing is you do not need to have a blog, social media, etc to share your project – you can upload a photo and write a caption without providing a link.
If you’ll be providing a link, please do so to your direct post and not a home page. Family friendly posts only. No links to shops like Etsy are allowed. By adding your link, you are giving me permission to feature your design on my blog and on social media.
